As you would be well aware, there is an Australia wide GP shortage. The repercussions of this have resulted in us closing Campbell Town Doctors Surgery in January of this year as we have not been able to secure the desired number of GPs to work in our practices.

With over 12,000 active patients on our books, we are feeling the strain and demand for appointments for patients and unfortunately most of our doctors are booked out a minimum of 3 weeks before a vacancy is available, and some doctors booked out for a minimum of 2 months.

We understand that this is frustrating having limited amounts of appointment available. Please note that we do have policies and processes in place that, if in a medically urgent/emergency situation you will be seen in a timely manner.

In the background we are continuously working on doctor recruitment, however this is often a timely process.

In the meantime, if you are able, we encourage you to book ahead.

Please ensure prescriptions are kept up to date. We allocate a limited number of appointments for repeat prescriptions.

We thank you for your patience while we navigate our way around this ongoing issue.
